About Steve Morgan, Owner of Designer Signs

Steve Morgan has been in the sign business for over 30 years. He cut his teeth doing hand lettering in Northern California the 80’s. In the 90’s Steve worked almost exclusively for Grocery Outlet. He traveled to stores scattered throughout the Western U.S. and Hawaii. In the early 2000’s, Steve opened Designer Signs in Central Point. This location is convenient to Medford and all of Southern Oregon.

Whether routing letters or or blowing glass on his day off, Steve Morgan has an unusual range of talents. His layout skills are valued by customers. Layout meaning clear, uncluttered display of a sign’s message. On the other end of the spectrum, Steve understands physics and engineering principals also essential to the business. He has a It is his nuts and bolts knowledge combined with his creative gifts that best defines Designer Signs. They have earned a unique place among Southern Oregon sign companies.

About Leslie Morgan, Graphic Designer for Designer Signs

Leslie Morgan, Graphic Designer

Leslie Morgan is a graphic designer for Designer Signs. She grew up surrounded by art and music. Her father Richard Clark taught perspective at Art Center College of Design. He was tapped by the Kennedy administration to design the smiling Roosevelt six cent stamp. He directed Prell and Fresca commercials in the ’60s, painted, and wrote books. Leslie trained as a classical singer and guitarist. She lived in New York, Japan and France singing in clubs and cafes. Her CD “Dream” is available on iTunes and Amazon. A talented visual artist, Leslie joined her husband Steve at Designer Signs in 2011.

About Kage Smith, Fabricator for Designer Signs

Kage Smith has a background in finish carpentry and fabrication. A former machine operator at Medford Fabrication, Kage runs the Designer Signs router and does woodworking, ADA signage and other precision work for our fabrication shop. In addition, Kage often provides logistical field support on large sign package installations. In his off hours, Kage roasts Costa Rican organic coffee for his company Forever Stoked Roasting Co.


About Manuel Gonzales, Support Staff for Designer Signs

Manny Gonzalez provides additional support when needed. A bright and able young man with a background in aircraft mechanics, Manny’s services have proven invaluable as a field support hand, and jack of all trades around the shop.
